Wealdstone continue their Enterprise National League campaign on Saturday as they host Gateshead at The Vale in a 3pm kick-off.

News From The Vale
The Stones will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday’s heartbreaking defeat in Tamworth.
Wealdstone had led through Olufela Olomola’s early strike and were comfortable in the game, but Connor McAvoy’s sending-off allowed The Lambs back into the match from the penalty spot before Jake Hutchinson scored in injury-time to seal the points for the hosts.
Tyrelle Newton is a doubt for Saturday’s game after feeling his hamstring in last weekend’s defeat, while Connor McAvoy’s red card means he will be suspended.
Kyle Smith faces a fitness race after also going down on the plastic pitch at Tamworth.
Dion Conroy remains three weeks away from a return to action, while summer signing Admiral Muskwe remains absent.
Saturday afternoon will represent the club’s second Family Matchday of the season.
The Family Fun Zone returns complete with table football, a bouncy castle, face painting and more! Up to four £1 Under-16 tickets can be bought alongside an adult-age purchase (advance adult price is £20). Young Adult (17-23 years) are just £10.

England’s UEFA Nations League opener against Spain will be shown live on the big screens in The Vale clubhouse after the match, so be sure to stick around after full time to make it a full day of football in HA4!
The Opposition
Gateshead come into the game bottom of the table with just one win in their opening nine matches.
In their last fixture they were defeated by six goals to one at home by Southend United. All six Southend goals came before half-time, including a Sam Austin hat-trick.
The sides have faced each other on 14 previous occasions. Of the eight most recent meetings, Wealdstone have one once, Gateshead on six occasions and the remaining match ended in a draw.
The last meeting between the sides took place last season in the north-east with The Heed winning on the night by a single goal scored just before half-time by Ashley Boatswain.
Wealdstone’s solitary win over Gateshead came at the start of the 2022 season. Rhys Browne scored the only goal of the match before The Stones were reduced to ten men by Deji Elerewe’s red card. Despite being a man down for the majority of the second-half The Stones hung on to seal a win which put them top of the National League at the time.
