WEALDSTONE players Kyle Smith and Jayden Harris took time out from their injury rehab programmes to back fundraising efforts to benefit the delivery of the upcoming ‘Maths In Schools’ programme by the club’s community Foundation.
Having been extended earlier this month, the closing date for Crowdfunder donations has now been inked in as lunch-time on Thursday October 29.
The lads are pictured at the UK Headquarters of Suntory BF GB&I in Uxbridge. Why?
Well the global drinks manufacturing giant kindly became a Crowdfunding partner for Wealdstone FC Foundation, with the company’s ‘Together For Good’ initiative providing their employees with the chance to allocate £70 to their preferred local good cause.
All other independent donations are being match-funded by Suntory, which means upward of £5,000 is set to be raised.
That will allow Wealdstone’s Foundation to deliver ‘Maths In Schools’ to local Year 3 pupils, bringing football and maths together through a six-week programme helping to improve mental and physical skills.
Suntory BF GB&I Head of External Affairs & Sustainability Fraser McIntosh is delighted the Foundation is the recipient of his company’s support.
“This year, we’ve launched a five-year Community Fund to support local not-for-profit causes that make a positive difference in their communities,” he explained.
“With our head office in Hillingdon (Borough), we’re especially keen to support projects making an impact close to home. That’s why we’re delighted Wealdstone FC Foundation has successfully applied for support for its brilliant ‘Maths in Schools’ programme.”
How Do I Donate?
The more money donated, the more young children can benefit Wealdstone FC Foundation’s ‘Maths In Schools’ programme. It’s that simple.
To find out a little more about the programme and to then donate – which will be match-funded – please click HERE.
The Stones need a set minimum number of donations from individual people in order to unlock the SBF GB&I matched funding, so even if it’s £1, every separate contribution is pushing towards a very positive outcome.

Up The Stones – and thanks for your support!
