BACK ON THE BALL: SFC Wealdstone Returns!

FOLLOWING a near-20-year hiatus, SFC Wealdstone – the Wealdstone FC supporters’ football team – is reforming ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Led by some familiar faces from the terraces at The Vale, the team is appealing for the support of prospective sponsors to help off-set what are considerable set-up costs for the newly-formed side.

With the idea having bobbled around for a while, the recent ‘Play on the Pitch’ fixture at The Vale after the end of last season really cemented the rebirth of a Sunday team which enjoyed significant success through past decades.

SFCW will begin their new life in the bottom-flight (Division 2) of the Watford Sunday Football League, with home matches in Croxley Green. The season begins in earnest on September 6 – although friendlies are planned throughout August.
